The scooner
DELPHINEN (The Dolphin) was build in "Baltimore-clipper-style" as a fast
patrol-ship, operating in the Danish waters. In total 6 ships of this type was
constructed in Copenhagen in the 1820'es.
DELPHINEN patrolled Storebælt (The
Great Belt) and was occasionally used as a royal yacht by the crown prince -
later King Christian VIII.
